This time, I'd like to introduce TACS' new "Automatic Cassette" watch. As the name suggests, it's inspired by cassette tapes. The retro details, such as the buttons resembling a cassette player and a radio, bring back memories of that era.

Have you ever listened to music on a cassette tape?
Back then, I used to take my Walkman outside, and at home, I'd listen on a boombox or stereo system in various places. The tape would stretch after repeated listening, sometimes slowing down the tempo, which is unthinkable now.
Cassette tapes had side A and side B, and came in various recording lengths like 90 or 60 minutes. It's common now, but you could create your own favorite "playlist" by collecting songs you liked. There were also many ways to enjoy them, like asking a DJ friend to make a mixtape connecting your favorite songs or recommendations.
With cassette tapes, there was also the fun of personalizing them by writing titles and song names or adding stickers. Taking out cassette tapes that I had stored deep in my house made me nostalgic and want to listen to them, but my Walkman wouldn't work... I guess I'll look for a new cassette deck.
Unlike current streaming services, cassette tapes are physical objects you can hold onto. Being able to see and touch these old cassette tapes makes them a precious and special tool now, something you want to cherish along with your memories.
